Kevin Smith was recently asked to get off his fat ass off of a Southwest Airlines flight because he was too fat to fly. He's been complaining non-stop since and has been a total cry baby about it. Which got me thinking about his whole career...
When I first saw Clerks back in 1994, it was one of the most brilliant movies I've ever seen and whenever I see it now it still holds up. Malrats was a disappointment but it did provide a few laughs. Chasing Amy was solid and Dogma was crap. Kevin Smith has not lived up to his potential as a filmmaker and I'm still waiting for him to bring us something as good and original as Clerks.
I'm begging Kevin Smith to stop complaining and introduce his legs to a treadmill and while he's at it, he should make a good movie for once. Besides Clerks, every other movie he's made has been one big inside joke within an inside joke that makes references to Clerks. Fucking hack!
