Sunday Night Wrap-Up 08/24/09

Here's this week's Sunday night wrap-up:

True Blood - Once again another amazing episode.  This show doesn't disappoint.  I love how they're branching out on all of the aspects of the horror genre.  I loved how Jason Stackhouse came to save the day.  Excellent acting and I'm eagerly awaiting Rachel Evan Woods appearance on next week's show.  Yes, she's going to be playing the Queen of Louisiana.  I love that chick.

Hung - This is HBO's hidden gem of a show.  Not enough people watch it and I can't stop raving about it.  It's time to hand over an Emmy to Thomas Jane.

Entourage - This show just gets worse and worse.  I really hate the whole Turtle-Jamie Lynn subplot.  It's beyond stupid and the acting is horrible.  Even the previews for next week look unexciting.

60 Minutes - Last night they did a great special on 60 Minutes founder, Don Hewitt, who died last week.  He ushered in a great era of journalism.  He'll be missed.  It sucks how he contributed so much to broadcast journalism and he died while idiots like Glen Beck and Sean Hannity dominate the airwaves.  He made his news magazine on the idea of "tell me a story" and how it should inform the masses.  Just the facts and making sure it told from an interesting perspective.  The big problem with the media today is the lack of professionalism and the general slants of their political leanings.
