On the substance side, this guy does whatever his peers are getting into. His voting record reflects the attitude of a 14 year old that tries marijuana for the first time "because everybody else is doing it." He voted for Bush 43's bullshit march into Baghdad and then came out against the war. This jerk off knew he could have made a difference back in the fall of 2002, but he just didn't want to come across as a pussy during the flag-waving feeling America was high off after 9/11/01. He's now fucked up the health care bill by caving into the demands of the Blue-Dogs to exclude the public option. It's now his job to hand the President a watered-down stack of papers that says Health Care on the first page for him to sign that is handout to the insurance companies. I will say that some of the stuff on the bill, isn't all bad but it's not what the voters wanted back in 2006 and 2008 when he elected their party into power. It was his job not to fumble a handed off ball but it's easy to drop when you have political butterfingers.
As we enter 2010, Harry Reid finds his political career in limbo. He's been able to raise a ton of money because President Obama flew out to Vegas and had a monster fundraiser for him but he's still not too popular in his own home state and might lose his US Senate seat to Danny Tarkanian. If you noticed the last name, yes were you right, his father is non other than legendary NCAA basketball coach Jerry "Tark the Shark" Tarkanian. Little Tark has ZERO qualifications to be a US Senator but he just might beat Reid in November which would prove what a world class chump he is after being in politics for so long. It doesn't help that Reid was recently quoted in a book about the 2008 Presidential Election race about his thoughts on President Obama being the right amount of light-skinned black and can speak so well for a negro. This is coming from a man of the Mormon faith, which most people know have a poor record with the African American community. So as much as I still support the Democrats (they're making it really hard for me) I still kind of want this douchebag to win his race. It pains me to say that and now I need a glass of scotch to swallow it all down.
