Bryce Dallas Howard

I've never been a fan of Bryce Dallas Howard because she's gotten her big break in Hollywood due to nepotism, is not a great actress and she's not hot. I first saw her as Peter Parker's other love interest Gwen Stacy in Spider-man 3. Now Gwen Stacy was always hot in the comics and I was hoping that they'd cast a really hot chick in the part since I was disappointed that Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane in the movie series. Dunst's snaggle teeth alone could have created a new villian for Spidey to battle. There was just no way I could handle another busted girl in my favorite movie franchise. When I first caught a glimpse of her, I knew that Spidey 3 was going to be a disappointment. I've never been a fan of nepotism and it's tough to swallow the whole thing when the girl happens to be not hot either. I went to see the movie and left disappointed as expected.

Fast forward a few years and I'm having a conversation at dinner with my brother about hot chicks in Hollywood and he dropped her name. I almost choked to death on my dinner roll. Bryce Dallas Howard is hot? Fuck no! We got into a heated argument but then my brother explained to just look at the family tree. Clint Howard is her uncle after all (who's made a career as just being Ron Howard's ugly little brother) and her father wasn't the most handsome guy in Hollywood either. The ugly gene runs deep in that family. My brother's argument was that she could have come out looking worse. It's almost a huge accomplishment that she came out looking like a 5 on the scale of 1-10. The things started to make sense to me and it totally explains why Hollywood has been so kind to her. She's like the overachiever in her family because she didn't come out looking anything like her uncle. So as of now, I will no longer trash Bryce Dallas Howard because she did get my on looks alone.
